Lunacy Lunacy, I have known some.
Lunacy lunacy, from whenst does it come?

Sneaks up on you, with Pride or Haught,
With you thinking you are better, and others are not,
You're always right and others wrong?
Not feeding on God's word,
And you think yourself strong?

Lunacy lunacy, part of the human race...
Until washed in His blood and saved by His Grace,

And work of the Holy Spirit is done,
To send away our Lunacies one after one.
Not til in Heaven will all the work be done, and we be finished running
from Lunacy Lunacy who shies from none!

..................................................................................
Lunacy Lunacy is just a cautionary fun poem to remind us that pride and haughtiness is usually more ridiculous than logical in the broad sense (a little crazy) because if we excel in one area or trait, we are likely blind or fooled in another area.

Be careful not to entertain pride or haughtiness.  Lunacy is a companion to Pride and Haught, and pride cometh before a fall.  Pride and haughtiness are of this world and we need to BEWARE that they do not creep into our character.

Applicable ScriptureKJV with slight language changes from me in some verses to make it easier to understand :

Proverbs 16:18  Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness goes before a fall

Proverbs 8:13  The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy...

Proverbs 11:2  When pride comes, shame follows...

Proverbs 29:23  A man's pride shall bring him low: but honor shall uphold the humble in spirit

1 John 2:16  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Romans 12:2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

My Prayer

Dear Father in Heaven,
Thank you for every good gift!  I ask that you  wash me clean, and give me kingdom perspective, kingdom vision, kingdom dreams, kingdom focused esteem.  I want to care more about Your Kingdom, than this world.  I do not want to be prideful, arrogant or haughty.
Please reveal my flaws and smooth my rough or jagged edges.  I want to be your vessel, your molded sculpted, piece for Your purposes!!

In Jesus's name I pray, AMEN

  1. Lovely poem! If we see ourselves through God's eyes, we'll have no cause to be proud 'cause we'll see our limitations and weaknesses very clearly. And you're right. It's madness to think otherwise.💖
