Mercy and Grace on Body Image Please !

2.5 minute read

Girlfriends, Sisters, Creations of God,
Realize your value in Him,

Living soul with breath of life,
Loved by God,
Bought with a price,
With divine life, laid on the cross,

Every time you begin to pick,
Disrespect,
Take for granted,
The gift of this body where your soul does live,

Remember if you are Christian,
You are daughter of the King,
And He thinks your body is awesome enough,
To share His Holy Spirit,
To dwell with you there,
Just LOVE and APPRECIATE this body and soul,

Never mind the warts and whiskers,
...imperfections percieved.

Big hips, giant boobs, flat breasts, pouchey tummy,
squintey eyes, freaky lashes, uni-brow,
The list goes on and on doesn't it?

Little, big,
Shy or bold,
Young and fiesty, slow and old,
Single, married,
With, or with out,
God made us all with-out a doubt,
Glory to Him,
May your heart shout!

Your bodies are beautiful because of the creator!
Value is transferred to the creation,
By the hand of the Creator,

Imperfections, cellulite, pimples,
*Whiskers where they don't belong
*older woman problem in my family-not my mother!
Big noses, little noses,
Big ears, elf ears,
Beady eyes, hawk nose,
Thin lips, fat lips,
Short stubby legs,  short stubby arms,
Long lanky gangly limbs

You live, you breath,
You are Heaven bound if His,

This body is your temporary abode
Which allows you to serve OUR FATHER
Love His people,
Build His kingdom,

I urge you,
Do not give a moment's thought,
To imperfections you percieve,
In you or anyone else,

Be grateful, take care,
Glorify the Father,
For creating your body,
And preparing good things...

You are a creation of
The AWESOME CREATOR

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Proverbs 14:30
A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant words are as honeycomb, sweet to the soul and health to the bones.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Matthew 6:33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

So, Lord, help us to keep our eyes on YOU, seeking your kingdom first.  We appreciate these bodies that you gave us.  Give us wisdom and appropriate love for these temporary vessels you sent our souls to live in while we learn, and grow, and serve, through Your touch.  Give us discernment to care more about what is in the HEART, but also eyes to see the blessings that you have bestowed in the physical.

May we honor you with good care of our bodies, and continuous thanksgiving.  In Jesus's name, AMEN

Tammy,
