In the 10th chapter of John, look what JESUS said, right before the Jews (unbelieving) took up stones to stone him:
John 10:27-30
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand
30 I and my Father are one.
If YOU BELIEVE the Bible, what does this tell you?
Those (sheep) that belong to Him, know Him. Those (sheep) that belong to Him, desire to follow Him. Those (sheep) that belong to Him, do follow Him.
Jesus saves them (eternal life!!)
His saved sheep are SAFE. They will not be removed from His safety.
Because THEY (the sheep) have fierce powers of protection? or because of WHO THE SHEPHERD IS ?
Verse 29 and 30......... Not because of who the sheep are, but because of who the shepherd and Father God are.
Be His. Follow Him.
You will be safe.
Who is the judge in the end?
John 5:22
For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgement unto the Son
the SON
the GOOD SHEPHERD
the JUDGE
LAMB of GOD
FINAL and PERFECT SACRIFICE
PRICE PAID
His life laid
Down on the cross,
That we would be saved.
Because of our works (because we are good enough, or our behavior followed the letter of the law ENOUGH)??
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
All glory and honor, and gratitude to my Father and my Savior, Christ Jesus.
Proverbs 17:22
A merry heart doeth good like medicine...

ReplyDeleteWe are better off, to keep our eyes on who He is, right?! Thank you for visiting.
DeleteSo true, thank God for His grace!
ReplyDeleteGreat reminder that we are His and under His protection.
ReplyDeleteI want to think of that often! Thank you for visiting.
DeleteSO good. Great reminder that it is not because of what we've done but because of who HE is that we are safe and protected and HIS!
ReplyDeleteHow blessed we are!! Thank you for stopping by , and leaving some encouragement.
DeleteLove this! God tells us some basic but good truths in the Bible, but we can get so distracted with the craziness of the world that we forget that his words are truth. Thanks!
