Answer came after years of prayer, and this I know:

Wow.  Just wow.  (American expression of amazement or being impressed.  Sometimes it is used sarcastically, but this time I mean it seriously.)

"Thank you Lord for answered prayer."

There is something that my daughter and I have been praying for fervently.  Our prayer had not been answered, for years, until recently.  Until recently, we still had that unmet NEED for a touch by the Holy Spirit on a particular matter.

Finally it came.

God arranged for a series of events to be used to open our eyes to a truth that He has known all along.  Seeing this truth, led to mercy, love, and grace, to grow in our hearts, where we had been seeking.

When God gave us insight to where someone had come from, it was easier for us to be merciful and loving in our hearts towards that person.  That was the answer to our prayer.

"Thanks be to God!"

Now this I know:

Sisters, I urge you, "Do not give up lifting your petitions before the Lord."

I urge you, that if you do not have a habitual prayer life, or a disciplined prayer life, that one easy step you can take to improve on that is to identify a specific time in your day, when you could determine to pray EVERY DAY at that same time, and with a partner for accountability is awesome !!

My daughter has been my partner, and there have been days when I was pre-occupied, and she reminded me!  Our prayer time together has been a blessing.

I can tell you that when you and your partner notice that a prayer has been answered.......... a prayer that you wondered, "When is God going to do this?  How is He going to do this?".........

When you see that it has been answered, it is absolutely THRILLING !

Don't have a prayer partner, but would like to have one?  Number one, pray about it.  Number two, have the courage to ask and talk about it.  When your family and friends know this is on your heart, a prayer partner will arise !

I really like to have a partner in agreement with me in prayer, because of this:

Matthew 18:20
For where two or more are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

But, well, don't forget that He shares the Holy Spirit with each Christian!

On top of that, we have this encouragement to be persistent and expectant that we are heard, and will be rewarded for our prayers of faith In Christ:

Matthew 7:7-12
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.  Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

John 14:13
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

According to John 14:13, what is one purpose for prayers to be answered?  So would prayers out of the Father's will have the same power?  I think NOT because the Father would not be glorified in the Son for a prayer out of His will, to be answered.

Hopefully your prayers is with in the will of God.  (Measure it against His Holy Word) My daughter and I were praying for God to increase our love for someone.  We know that would be in His will......

Romans 2:6
Who will render to every man according to his deeds.

1John 5:15
And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

From Romans 2:6 would you take it, that there will be some consequences for our actions?

But when He hears our prayer and it is in line with His will through which the Father would be glorified in the Son, what may we expect?  We will have the petitions that we desired !!!
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.

James 5:16
...The effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Be consistent.

Pray with someone.
Don't stop.
Don't give up.

Put God first.

Enjoy the journey, sisters♡

I would delight for you to share answered prayer story in the comments, and I will honor prayer requests shared publicly in the comments, or through private messaging.
