Disappointments and Blessings

I found a note I had made a year or two ago, listing my top life disappointments, and blessings of the moment.  It was interesting.

 Now a year or two later, guess what............ ?
2 of the 5 disappointments are literally non-issues today.  The other three are issues, but thankfully, they are not on my mind bothering me recently!๐Ÿ˜Š

WOW !  Changes, but the blessings are still blessings !

This reminds me, "Life is always changing."  Problems and disappointments are a common occurrence in this life, but your problems and disappointments will be different from day to day, year to year....

I remember an article that I read during my single college years.

  The article suggested that according to research, (now read this carefully and thoughtfully) it is women who want to get married the most,
but it is men who are the happiest when married.
The same article pointed out that what ever pressing problems that  a married couple had one year, if their marriage endured, then a few years down the road, those same issues would likely NOT be a problem still.

Why?  'Cause most of our problems are temporary.   Well, they all are temporary, except for loss of salvation, but you know what I mean.  Life is always changing.

When problems rear their ugly head, try to confront them as temporary nuisances because seldom are they actually more than that.

Every day, you do the best that you can
with what you have,
given your limits and capacities, and talents, and blessings, and

YOU REST IN HIM.  YOU TRUST IN HIM.

You are in your good shepherd's care.

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever

Sisters, when you are disappointed or discouraged, know that it is a passing trial.  Ultimately you are cared for in Christ, by the good shepherd.  He is in control, and watching over you.  He has your best interest in mind and heart.
.......................................................................................

Read that Psalm 23 again please.    Slowly.    Pausing after each thought or line.♡

Be blessed in our good shepherd today.

He leadeth us  beside still waters and prepares good things for us.....

  1. I WILL keep this in my heart, a constant reminder when life gets tough: 'Cause most of our problems are temporary. Well, they all are temporary, except for loss of salvation, but you know what I mean. Life is always changing.
