2 Fun, Feel Good Challenges

Number one: challenge in honor of all great cooks from the past who could make something awesome
WITH OUT A RECIPE:

Here is your recipe!  Well, it's not a typical recipe.  Doesn't use typical measurements, and I CHALLENGE you to try it, if you like peanut butter and are not concerned about allergies:

This is SO FUN  !!

Here you go.....
You can memorize this, and do it.............. and (my opinion) feel so accomplished and smart :

What you need:

*big bowl * spatula (what I prefer for mixing), and ingredients:
*peanut-butter  *sugar  *egg  *baking soda  *gluten free flour

Seriously, this is so easy, you will be amazed, and need not be afraid..............it's practically no fail.

1)   Use your spatula scrape out a portion of peanut-butter that you eye-ball to be about ONE CUP.

2)   On top of that measure out what you eye-ball to be ONE CUP or 3/4 cup of white granulated sugar.

3)    Mix peanut-butter and sugar and add ONE EGG.  MIX.

4)    With that dough thoroughly mixed, it may be soft or soupy like thick cake batter but grainey with the sugar.  Now just eye-ball a portion of gluten free flour (probably about 1/2 to 3/4 cup flour)  I have used both of these kinds of flour with good results:

5)   Add  literally 3 pinches of baking soda (pinched between thumb and fore-finger).  Mix it all together and you have your beautiful cookie dough.  If it seems too stiff, add a bit of water...

Use a spoon to scoop ping-pong ball size dough balls that I roll in my hands and then flatten on the baking pan.  You may use a fork to flatten or score the top.

yields  12  DELICIOUS cookies

Bake at 350* until almost brown on the edges.  (approx. 8 minutes)

My daughter says these are her favorite cookies ever !!

...............................................................................
............................Recap, recipe:
approximate, or eye-ball measure:
1 cup peanut-butter,
1 cup sugar,
1 egg,
eye-ball 1/2 cup gluten free flour,
 3 pinches baking soda😊
......................................................................
Challenge 2:

Challenge two:  Did you know that Baking Soda is a GREAT cleaning agent even for your skin??

Seriously.  Put baking soda in a plastic cup in your shower or on your tub.  Scoop your fingers in to grab a portion and rub it between your hands......... all over your face and neck.... ALL OVER your body...... your feet and toes.........and rinse.  It feels fabulous!!

It's cheap, and it feels good, really good on your skin, and it is non-toxic.  Upon rinsing, you feel super clean.  Can't beat that.

Thanks for visiting.  Hope you have fun with this, and come back for more.  If you have any fun challenges,or recipes we can throw together with out traditional measurements or recipes we could easily memorize, or other inexpensive cool cleaning tips, we would enjoy you sharing in a comments!
Love, and blessings,
Grandma Mary Martha💖

  1. I love Baking Soda as body scrub. Squeaky clean after bath, helps also for acne. I preferred to use baking soda for bathroom cleaning instead of bleaching agent. I also use honey and sugar scrub. I tried the apple cider vinegar once for my hair but can't stand the strong odor. :) It's good to explore cheapest and organic products for beauty care that won't cost you much. I myself is a confessed low maintenance. :)

    1. Thanks for visiting Kate, and taking time out of your busy life to be an encouragement HERE! YES, I think it is so exciting to learn about cheap, non-toxic cleaners for home and self. I have had the same experience with rinsing hair in vinegar. May be good to do now and then to erase build up residues, but it STINKS. Love you, low maintenance sister !! (another thing we have in common)
